Elenor’s “Kanzeon” calls forth an ancient Kannon Sutra from Chinese and Japanese Zen Buddhism, often used to evoke the spirit of compassion, Avalokiteshvara. The theme of this piece focuses on universal or absolute mind as being dual to individual or relative mind.

Written in C Major, the purpose of “Kanzeon” is to encourage audience participation by way of a mantra to bring about a sense of balance.

This mini-album is split into distinctive sections ranging from soundscapes to chanting, songs to poetry, improvisation to ecstatic dance.

An Indian shruti box drives the core tone of this album which is later accompanied by violin and Irish uilleann pipes. The combination of these instruments gives rise to a fresh listening experience anticipated to be enjoyed by many, no matter the musical background.

Breathe deeply and celebrate the essence of Kanzeon through this listening experience.
